These points alone can give you a huge advantage over blogs that don’t rely on auto bogging to do anything – as long as you implement some creativity along the way.
How to do auto blogging
Let’s talk more about the “ongoing efforts” above, and the best ways to make content aggregation work for you.
Option One: Create a hybrid blog that includes original and syndicated content.
Since autoblogs primarily consist of previously published content, you should not expect to receive any organic traffic from Google. Why? Because it normally ranks the original content over its copied counterpart.
Thus, publishing original content will get you organic traffic for your chosen keywords. This can also increase the overall usability of your blog as it neatly strengthens the syndicated portion of your blog.
Option two: Create a purely syndicated website with no original content.
While I personally prefer the first option, there are ways to succeed with blogs that have no original content of any kind. This can include video, images, audio, text or a combination of everything.
Now let’s look at some real-life examples as a means of supporting the above two options.
Creating an Autoblog in WordPress
The first thing you need to do is install and activate the WP RSS Aggregator plugin. For more details, see our step guide on how to install the WordPress plugin.
The basic plugin is free, but for this tutorial, you will need to be paid addons in the Advanced Feed Bundle.

Once you have installed and activated all addons, simply add a new feed source to the RSS aggregator »Add new.
First, you have to provide a title to this feed source, and then the RSS feed URL.
Next, you have to scroll a little in the ‘Feed to post’ section. Here you need to select a post type for the imported feed item.
By default, the plugin will import posts as drafts. If you want, you can publish it.
Be sure to check the box next to the ‘Content force complete content’ option. Using this option, WP RSS will allow the aggregator to fetch the full text of the posts.
Next, you have to set the feed in the Post – Images section. This is where you set how your auto blogs will handle images.
It can automatically import images from feed sources and store them in your WordPress media library. It can also bring the first image to the content and use it as a depicted image. You need to set up these options to match your needs.
The new feed source page has several other options. You can review and adjust them to meet your needs.
You can use keyword filtering to import or exclude content that matches certain keywords or tags. You can also add custom content before or after source text.
Click the publish feed button when you’re done.
Now you can go to your posts section, and you will see the imported feed items in your WordPress site.
Repeat the process to add more feed sources if necessary. You can check the status of your feed by going to RSS Aggregator »Feed Source.
Quickly add multiple feed sources to your Autoblog
Connecting each feed source, and configuring them one by one can be a tedious task. Here’s how many times you can add multiple feeds at once using the same settings.
Go to RSS Aggregator »Settings and click on Feed to Post tab. Here you can configure the default settings for the feed to post addon.
These settings will be applied to all feed sources that you add in the next step.
Next, you have to go to RSS Aggregator »Import and Export. Under the Import box, you need to add the name and URL of your feed sources.
Separate name and feed URL with a comma and space. Add one feed source per line.
Then click the Bulk Import button to quickly add all feed sources to your WordPress Autoblog.
