Controlled Explosions Destroy Illegally Built 100m High Noida Supertech Twin Towers in Seconds

The Twin Towers in Noida, built illegally by realty firm Supertech Ltd, were brought down within nine seconds at around 2.30 pm. With over 3,700 kg of explosives on August 28.

The demolition of structures nearly 100 meters high generated an estimated 80,000 tons of construction and demolition waste and sent huge clouds of dust into the air.

The Twin Towers of Supertech in Noida were safely demolished on Sunday. The demolition took place in pursuance of a Supreme Court order dated August 31, 2021, which found that the nearly 100-metre tall structure on the premises of the Emerald Court Housing Society had come in violation of building norms.

On Sunday, Supertech's 100-metre-high twin towers in Noida - higher than Delhi's iconic Qutub Minar (73 meters) - were brought to the ground in nine seconds after demolition at the end of a nine-year-long battle.

The Supertech Twin Towers worth around Rs 1000 crore will be demolished tomorrow using Rs 20 crore.
